Questions, answered.

Does USD complete the apostille for me?

No. USD currently facilitates notarized transcripts and diplomas but does not complete the California Secretary of State apostille step. Inkcredible handles that apostille stage after USD returns the notarized document.

How do I obtain a notarized USD document?

Request a notarized transcript or diploma through USD's Registrar. USD facilitates the notarization; the apostille is a separate step handled afterward.

Can an electronic transcript be apostilled?

Often not. Many destinations require an original ink-signed paper document. An electronic transcript frequently cannot be notarized in the form an apostille requires.

Does my diploma need to be notarized first?

In most cases, yes. A university diploma usually requires notarization of the registrar's signature before the California Secretary of State will apostille it.

How long does a California apostille take?

It depends on USD's processing, the California Secretary of State, and the document type. We don't imply guaranteed timelines. Rush options exist for eligible documents when availability allows.

Does Inkcredible control USD's fees or timing?

No. USD-imposed charges and processing times are set by USD. Inkcredible's service fee is separate and clearly stated. We never imply we control a university's fees or timeline.
