Business & Legal Document Apostille.

Corporate, legal and business documents issued in California can be apostilled for international use. We identify whether certification, notarization, or a certified copy from the Secretary of State is required first, then handle the apostille.

The document, explained.

What is this document?

Business and legal documents include articles of incorporation, certificates of good standing, powers of attorney, court records, contracts and similar filings. For apostille, the document must bear the signature of a California public official or a California notary.

Does it need notarization or certification first?

It depends on the document. Some — like a certificate of good standing from the California Secretary of State — already bear an official signature and need no notarization. Others, like a signed contract or corporate resolution, may need notarization before the apostille can be issued. We identify the correct path for your specific document.

What needs to be ready first.

Identify the exact document and the issuing authority (court, Secretary of State, notary, company officer).

Determine whether the document already bears an official signature or needs notarization first.

Confirm the document is a current, certified copy where required.

Tell us the country where the document will be used — business documents often have destination-specific requirements.
